We had a really great time at the Coast this weekend. Darren had his "Labor Day" weekend the week after the actual calendar date. Our Grandma – Pauline – Was in town. She lives in California and drove up to spend 10 days with my mom. Grandma is pretty amazing at 97! I’ll post pictures in the photo album if you’d like to "see" all the things we did. One of the first things Nathan did was to scope out the street for garage sales saturday morning. We walked down and he pillaged the "free" box. My mom found some baking pans and a couple of books. We had a nice morning catching up and then went to Sunset Beach for the afternoon. We had a great time exploring the beach with our Cousins and Aunt Tanna! Look through the Album to see some Flood and Creation evidence that is pretty cool! We came home to a big roast beef dinner, and then the boys went out to the fifth wheel to watch a movie with dad while I went out with AmyJo for some great Mexican food! Prawn Soup, Chili Con Ceso, and Margaritas. So I can’t spell green chilis and Cheese but that was what it was. 🙂 Sunday we got up and went to the church that I went to as a teen, and the church that Darren and I got married in, and the church that we were attending when Jon was born. . . . . It was nice to see alot of friendly faces from our home group and see the kids that the boys grew up with in the nursery. 🙂 We came home to Chicken Dumplins, my favorite, and then took a nap while grandma and nana took the boys for a walk to the bay. We rounded out the evening by getting a pizza at Ginos and watching baseball at Mingus Park while chatting with Shelley. Monday we got up and went to Florence to play for a bit before driving all the way home. It took us 9 hours to get home. Wow. I’ll have to re-think stopping, as it took about 4 and a half hours to get here on Friday. . .. . Most of our visit time wise was spent talking to Nana, and visiting as a family enjoying the time Darren had away from work. It was a great weekend!
