Is it fall or winter? We have thankfully spent the last week weatherizing the house and the back yard. Picking up stray toys and bits of wood from projects gone by in the back yard. We have been working quite hard in cleaning out the chicken coop, moving it for fresh dirt for the winter, re-sealing the gaps, fixing the roof parts, and making sure they have a dry play area.
This morning we woke up to freezing rain. There is a slight dusting of snow over the frozen earth, but there is a crust of ice that is quite thick. The highway (deschutes mkt rd) is frozen solid. I woke to squealing tires as they tried to slide around the corner at our house. Glad there is a large side yard on that corner. Ice puddles everywhere. Now- I’m really in the mood to stamp winter cards!
