Monday Morning

I got up this morning quite refreshed! I expected snow – and from the white glare coming through the blinds – I was surprised and disappointed that last nights snow must have melted or blown away. It is the middle of winter! My chickens were hungry – I need to run to the feed store today – but they were fine after I dug around in the cereal cupboard and poured out two boxes of undesirable to humans – especially the short ones – food flakes. Today is the third day of drinking way too much lemon water. One full lemon squeezed to smitherenes into a cup with a bit of hot water. I have tried the honey – never did pick up agavae – and settled on sugar this morning. Just enough to keep the edge off – I’ll get some splenda or such for the next cup. But this is the first cup I havn’t wanted to pass out after consuming. What a wonderful time in the Word this morning. Beth Moore has us doing an exercise where we look through several heros of the faith – both in Hebrews and now in more recent time – George Mueller was this mornings – and she had us split up our ages into 5 groups. For my age that put each group of years as seven years. This mornings patch was 21-28. What a huge blessing of God’s timing for what I have discovered of false teaching in my life this weekend. Instead of writing my normal sorrows over those years – I can say with direct reassurance in my heart that I was with the Lord during those years – not walking in his ways – not with a passion for His Word or His People – but definitely under His arm – under His Hand. It is also the time that my fire was rekindled – and that the Lord had ready the people who would bring me back to realizing that there was so much more than just knowledge of who He was – but a passion to find out who He is now -and who He is to me – and what that means in the way I live – that I might be needing to live FOR Him. Anyways. Between chickens and lemons and the Word – this was one intense Monday morning – Now I have done Math and English also with the little short person who wants to get his work done early to play the new to us game cube . . . . . and its only 8:05. 🙂
