A Beautiful Glistening Day

Thursdays are my "event" days. It seems that quite a bit piles up – and adds to the day. I wake up with running thoughts of what to pack, bring, prepare. Is it all ready? Is it all done? Have I remembered? In walks Ms. Blackberry Pearl. I have really enjoyed being able to have my email notifications at my fingertips, browsing my google calendar at a whim to settle the butterflies in my tummy. A little helper – I’m not quite sure which one out of the three – decided to push laundry through, and then put clean laundry on the floor in baskets. My system is that a basket shows up – I wash it, dry it, fold it, put clothes on respective dressers. I don’t start another load until the cycle goes in one step. They whole cycle has to move one step. Yet, the little helpers didn’t know this, so I ended up washing a load that was clean . . . because it was on the floor. Anyways – Now we are all caught up. The kitchen has been cleaned, dining room in order, living room in order, clothes put away, emails checked . . . . Off to the shower – and then Gleaning at Costco – come home and unload food – re-load Awana secretary gear – and off to Recess. Play at recess for an hour then move to Bouncing off the Walls at 2. Play til they drop – then find a Wendy’s baked potato for dinner and off to Fellowship Bible Church for Awana. We are at Awana at 5 and home by around 9. Now that this is our Thursday rountine – I’m doing better. First of the year – it was a long day. But now – I just focus on the Next Thing. And pray that He reminds me of everything I need to pack for the activities throughout the day. Today it is WWII items for the boys to bring to Awana tonight for Americana night. Also a book to return to a friend, and maybe look for some USCG pins or such for the boys to wear tonight as well. I love my life. I love the day entirely spent with friends. My friends, and the boy’s friends. Love and Sparkle and Glistening is is the air. Could be the upcoming V-day, could be the sparkle of the blue sky and bright sun on the snow. 🙂 Either way – its a glistening day!
