The Shack – pg 106

I flagged a few pages of the Shack – I’ll go through and talk about what I liked about it. Most of it isn’t new or doctrine or might not even be bible backed – but it did make me think – just like any other book I’ve cared to read until the end. 🙂

""So when I am telling you about my children?" "We have limited ourselves out of respect for you. We are not bringing to mind, as it were, our knowledge of your children. As we are listening to you, it is as if this is the first time we have known about them, and we take great delight in seeing them through your eyes." " I like that," reflected Mack, sitting back in his chair."

I admit – that sometimes I feel defeated praying before I even start. To talk to the God that is omnipresent and omniscient – to re-tell him about my day? Sometimes I settle for a – you know – its your plan – do what you wish prayer. But I have recently been urged to be a prayer warrior again taking my stand at the cracks in the wall for others. Yes, He knows what is happening – and yes, He has a plan – but His plan includes me being a warrior. I do have a fondness of listening to my boys with sparkling eyes tell their version of an even that I got to hear and see from a distance. It is important to them to do the telling – how stiffled they would be if I continually said – yep- saw that – heard that- bought the tee-shirt and cut them off. My God is amazing!
