Spring Is Here – with Warmth and Cheer!

Signs of spring are everywhere! My little garden peeks out – with little bits of green everywhere!

Jon and Nate spend countless hours working on their aim.  Nathan just earned his ProMarksman NRA Patch and Medal this weekend.  Jon is on his way to the next level as well. I read a thing from Homeland Security announcing that they are aware of the Right Wing Religious Extremists who are stock piling ammunition and arms – and labeling them Terrorists.  WHAT?  Well – don’t tell anyone but we have a few boxes of 22’s in the safe, among other items. I’d tell you – but then I’d have to shoot you with my kids pellet gun. We do have many many tubs of pellets and brightly colored BB’s.  Don’t tell Obama’s men that this is where I found them when it was time to start Math class  – I was on the phone and they found an opportune time to exit. . . . .But aren’t they cute little terrors?

We don’t stop at scaring the fence posts – we also like to Terrorize Fish. Nate has been planning a fishing trip to the Tumalo River in June – Late June – and has spent every last quarter on his new getup. Nice.

The true sign of spring is the First Baby Lizard. Poor Thing.  The kids spent hours building a Lizard Motel. I sort of feel sorry for these poor desert creatures that happen to call our vacant lot home.  But one morning I was praying and had the thought that God put them there just for Jon. That he knew he would have a love for all things wiggly – and made sure our little property would be full of fantastic finds. He assured my heart that He would make more . . . .
