Our local library has been closed down – due to Demolition. Ok folks. Library and Demolition really should be in the same sentence. EvAr. Sigh. So – we will regroup as we look for ways to study Africa. I sat down to research Eleonora’s Falcon and realized this might be a great topic to teach the boys how to research on the internet. Most of our searches turn up with images and sidebars and advertisements that make my hair curl. However, this word and topic is so unique that it shouldn’t bring up many outside sites, and if it does, it will be a good learning tool. Do any of you have ways to teach safe internet searching with your middle school homeschool boys? Is it a concern? Where have you been challenged?
