Africa!

Homeschool Middle School  Geography  – Passport Club of Central Oregon Presents:

Africa, by N.O.W.

Hi my name is N.O.W., and this is my report. It is on Africa. And my topic is Eleonora’s Falcon. Eleonora’s Falcon migrates – which means it moves seasonally or for food – from Madagascar, Africa  to Scotland, UK. Scientists thought that Eleonora’s path was around the eastern shores of Africa to the UK. Scientists put a GPS unit on several E. Falcons last year and discovered that the path was over the deserts more diagonally to the UK. Some of the countries that Eleonora’s Falcon flies through are Tanzania, Congo, Nigeria, Niger, Libya, Algeria, and then up to the United Kingdom. We learned about Scientific Theory. I think that other words for theory are – Guessing, Assume, Opinion, Thoughts.  The GPS helped the scientists to form their knowledge based on Fact. Evidence. We also learned about what assumed means but my mom doesn’t want to type our conversation here.

If you are a homeschooler in Lincoln City, Lincoln County, Newport or Tillamook and would like to join us in Otis, Oregon for our Passport Club  – Let us know!
