Well, we finally got our monies off today for Haiti. My youngest son heard that a good friend of ours gets to travel to Haiti this March (YIKES THATS NOW!), so we had our YIKES brain turned on and got his funds in the mail. He had a fund going to get a few vocabulary words out of our house, charging people 25 cents for speaking the words. 🙂 He also rummaged through the laundry for loose change and did a few extra chores. It was nice to see him focused on a project for saving monies for someone else. Our friend isn’t going to get to spend as much time as he’d like – but it will be good. He’s already done mission trips to Africa and other areas, he is a roofer, and is handy with any tools or equipment. Did I mention he’s only about 18? He is part of a Family of 11 kids plus mom and dad. AMAZINGLY awesome family. Gush Gush.
