My Other Blogs

Someone mentioned to me again today that they didn’t know I have three separate blogs – I thought I’d take a time out and share a bit.

Over on the right hand side of the screen there – over, over, hmmm, You might have to scroll Are you in a reader?  I’ll wait for ya to click through  . . . ya, the list there?  Beach Schooling, Lake Schooling and Some Schooling.  That sort of sums up our life!  We live on a lake, near the beach, and every once in a while – we take a break to do some school.

When we first moved here – It seemed crazy to post pics of my boys all the time – enjoying their new environment   – to people who only wanted to see what we crazy weird  unsocialized homeschoolers do all day. I even belong to a Weird Unsocialized Club ..  . .Um. Only we can’t get together . . . as a group . . . or . . .Kris would kick us out . . . I think . . . Anyway –

I like to blog about our marine adventures over on the Beach Schooling Blog – it is hosted by Blogger – if you’d like to come along with us, feel free to take a peak, and subscribe over there:  Http://pebblekeeping.blogspot.com. Our last three posts have us,

We blog about what’s happening at the lake on our Lake Schooling Blog.  This morning I think I saw my first Grebe of the season – soooo excited!  I blog about our flowers, birds, waves and lake happenings.  Again – it is separate on Blogger at http://pebblekeeper.blogspot.com.  Today we showed Grandma and Grandpa and Mimi Water Ski Adventure and I brought along the camera on a Kayak Morning Book read earlier this week.

So – as you’ve gotten to know me, and if you are reading in a reader and don’t get to see the right hand widgets over there – Alot of our crazy adventures are at the beach and lake. 🙂

Aha! Now I can keep track of all three. I wondered why I wouldn’t see you for awhile. I only followed one and so I only saw a piece of the whole 🙂

I think this year, after the email/fb/comment response I’ve gotten, I’ll post more to the “school” page that is less about academics. They were all together last year, and this year, now that I’ve separated them in Windows Live Writer and in my pea brain – um its hard to meld them back together. I’m working with code to keep it separate on tabs, but I have to work with the “free” programs. 🙂 One way would be to switch this blog to Blogger. . . .

  2. Yes, I too have 3 blogs! =) I’m not really able to spend a lot of time on the others. Although, i hope to some day soon. =) I’d like to combine them somehow. My main site I am using right now keeps me pretty busy right now on top of everything else in life. -0)
Great blog. I am following you from Hip Homeschool Hop.
Hope you are having a great week.

Thanks for hopping by! I love your website as well! I’ve thought about combining the three in October, as it will be the end of the one year mark, however, I get alot of non homeschool hits on the lake and ocean blogs – based on nature key words and local key words. I kind of like being a draw to the tourists trying to find out what to do in Lincoln City. This week I’m getting 20-60 hits a day just on my kite blog of Connor Doran from America’s Got Talent. Kind of fun to be a part of that. 🙂

I chuckled when I first read the title, because I, too, have three blogs, although mine are of different categories. I have one for homeschooling activities, one as just a daily photo diary and one for recipes as we spend a lot of tim in the kitchen. I think it is interesting how you have divided your blogs. I wouldn’t have thought to divide life between two natural settings. I will enjoy seeing your family in those water settings as well. Thanks for the post.
