The boys sent me a txt to ask for some sandwiches and water. I drove around the mountains with their tiny bit of directions for an hour –
then then they ended up coming down the mountain to look for me – to led me to their spot. They found me at a Fish Weir taking photos for the upcoming Handbook of Nature challenge. We read the plaques and then went to their spot.
It is a beauty of a spot! However, they got so turned around in the hills that they had practically headed back home. They were on the ridge east of our house! So we had a walk and drove back to the hunting line.
There was a shooting range of sorts – TONS – of glass. A few glass creations were blown to bits. If you need to do a mosaic with glass – I’ve got the spot to collect it. These were some of the larger pieces.
It was about 80 on the mountain that afternoon. SOOO hot! We came down to the cool of the valley and let the dog out of the kennel for a run. This little river might be an offshoot of drift creek. It’s on Anderson Rd. The pool to the left is several feet deep – but crystal clear to the bottom. Amazing.

Yep. I might like this hunting thing. Funny, with the camera and the dog walk and the walk to the top of the clearing, and the exclamations of joy – we didn’t see any deer . . . but that was a good thing – since we weren’t quite in the boundary. 🙂
Lil Jon loved this viewpoint. Yep. Definitely love hunting.

Beautiful!
