Avast! A little photo tour for ye land lubbers!
There has been a long and steady line of visitors walking from the parking lot at Agate Beach to a large object washed ashore about a half mile away. (Photo for Outdoor Hour Challenge Kin – Queen Anne’s Lace at the Beach). We have learned that the object, once thought to be a barge, is actually a piece of a dock, washed in from Japan, in direct result to the Tsunami –

We had to be among the thousands that have walked out to touch the dock. It didn’t take long for the boys to try to figure out how to climb on top. Jon chose the rear of the dock:
We had a nice short window of seclusion where the ‘shift’ of people swapped out.
Jon slipped into the tour guide roll as people started asking him questions.

Nate, who does not like wet feet, finds his way on top on the other side.
I think this option only works if you’re six feet tall.
I think one article I read said they had counted 20,000 cars – The steady line of people is impossible to photograph, a half mile of people, in both directions.
The view isn’t bad out towards sea either! So – there ya have it, a little tour for you land lubbers!
