Morning Paddle Anyone?

I wasn’t going to go out this morning – but when I opened the curtains – the above and below picture is what I saw.

Poor little lonely canoe on the dock. Begging to be let down into the water. Since it was so flat, I took a chance and brought my camera. I’ve seen so many amazing things on the lake – that I can’t share with photos – 10 cameras – death by water – and my family isn’t too excited to let me take my Lumix out in the canoe. But I snuck it. Just so you could go along.

Oh this little guy below flew off right when I put my canoe in the water. I should remember to scan the shore line before I splash in.  I followed him around a bit, but he never lets me close. He’s our resident Green Heron. I bit bigger than a football, Green, Colorful, Beautiful, and alas . . . shy.

Enough harassing the wildlife – let’s head out!

Devil’s Lake is about 3 and a half miles long. I live on the Left side of the loop on the north end, today I paddled around the loop on the right side. The photo on my header in the blog show you the Arial view. This is headed back home, I live at the end.

My shoulders were feeling a bit tender this morning, I’ve swapped from SUP’n to Canoe this week – and ya use different back muscles. When I tracked my routes from Sunday Morning, Sunday evening, Monday Morning, Monday Walk, Tuesday Morning and Weds Morning – I was at 15 and a half miles.  Guess they can be a bit tender.

Come on in for a cup of coffee, I made some before I went out!
