I am still a bit mystified at the counts on this tiny blog since I put in the words of my youth pastor and his church. I have had emails in my regular account and in my Facebook Account. I’ve had messages in several locations as well. I would like to make it clear that I have not had association or conversation with this group at all for the last 5 years. I have no current information regarding their hearts or walk with the Lord. The main site that I read for hours on that called them a cult – has so many inconsistencies and name slinging that it makes the mind spin. One thing that I do know about – in personal detail for what? 24-25 years? is the ACE Accelerated Christian Education which is now called the School of Tomorrow. I was doing a look up on literature on this this week – and was I ever shocked – to find that it had a HUGE mention on the same list that pointed fingers at RLC. Very sad people wrote in about their schooling experience. They were quite upset with the make up of the schools – their rules – and the structure. They didn’t like the learning load – and that they felt it was too much. I can tell you- that my learning load was so light that I went through 4 years of high school in 2. It was simple for me. I can tell you that their complaints of how rigid the school was was non plus to me and my pals – we got into our fair share of trouble. We learned to pass notes in various parts of the learning center. We learned to use code in language – and we learned to put our individual style into the uniform. If you don’t know what ACE is or how the schools are run -this won’t make sense – but I can promise you it is NOT a cult. It is a curriculum of education – as is the case with any curriculum – they teach academics along with social and spiritual goals – as does any learning institution – even if those are not centered around Christ. I use parts of the ACE for my school room – I love the way the PACES walk through English – piece by piece small bites to digest and learn and use. I don’t see myself using it for math or science or social studies or history. But that is my choice. Choice. Thats my point for today – have people forgotten that they still have free will? Free will to place yourself under man’s authority? Free will to accept man’s governing? Have they forgotten that you have the entire day to find time in the word and in Prayer. Did they forget that you have a direct relationship with the Father and that you do not need man as a go between? Any printed or said thing in life can hold you captive – you choose to follow it. Christ said that He came that you might have freedom. He said that he Overcame this world. Why does man still want to be a part of it – so willingly? I am praying about my response to the people who are asking me for answers. I am praying for those who are seeking healing and resolve. God does want to give it to them – of that I am sure.
