Switching back to Tried and True Habits

After becoming completely dependant on my crackberry – I quit all forms of paper or computer organization.  So – back to having a convenient place to store all of this information – where I’ll see it daily – and make it portable.  I’ve heard that some people actually write their appointments and to do lists on. . . .paper. Ya, Shocking.

I’ve been using Google Chrome for quite a few months.  I love it – it is a VERY fast uncluttered web browser.  Crazy thing – although it was created by Google – it is not Google App friendly.  What’s up with that?   So- I’m back to Mozilla Firefox.  Have the IGoogle Page all back up and running. My fav. apps are Calendar, TV Guide, Facebook, MyListy, and Google Reader.  I also re-downloaded/installed Google Talk.  There is a new lab for GTalk.  The Calendar app is working better with it – and will pop up my appointments.  So – If I’m lost in Facebook or Lostpedia – It will notify me that I was supposed to be at Choir like 15 minutes ago . . . .   I can chat and txt phones from the little app as well.

After spending the last 24 hours going through emails and getting all of the appointments written in Google Calendar, I spent this morning putting the appointments in my desk/travel calendar. Paper and pencil. Erasing entries. Tracking due dates. Writing in menus.  I forgot how much I love a pencil written neat little list written in italic handwriting.  Oh the Joy. (moment of joy)

So – I’m back to pencil and paper. Back to computer notifications.  The little Raspberry does come with unlimited txt and picture mail.  I can sms my calendar to my phone. I can GVENT txt to the phone to  find out next, day, nday calendar events. That’s handy. With Summer on the edge, and School slowing down – I can have my phone sms me a reminder that I should be sitting in my pink flowered lawn chair at the river, instead of sitting here prattling on or stalking my online friends on facebook . . . . .
