Geography Monday

In honor of Columbus, we finalized our report on South America.  For several years we have been involved in Geography Coops – where we study  country, and once a month we gather to share what we have learned.  We are trying to move away from “Here is the country, here is the flag, here is what they wear”.  This past month we studied South America.  As posted earlier, we read a book called Red Knot, a story of a shore bird and her migration back and forth the 20,000 miles to Canada from the top of South America.  We learned about the different countries, the equator and migration.  Today, after gathering all of our written notes and pictures, we pretended that we were at co-op and recorded what we would share.  There are 11 videos – so much information, these are the last two that the boys recorded.
