Marble Run Project

We seem to be in a pattern of following after the ideas of these sites

for our afternoon fun.  We took a season the first year we lived in Bend to go through quite a bit of KONOS book one.  After a move or a major change, sometimes its nice to just wake up and look to see “what should we do today”.  Thank you to all of you bloggers out there that share your projects, giving us tired in transition moms great ideas!

This week was Marble Run TimeWith Journey into Unschooling

Jon started out building the run, declaring he had a plan and didn’t want any help.  He emerged from the hot glue station with the tiniest of marble runs. Then, each day, he built a bit more, until now, its about 4 feet long. 🙂 I’ve had a cold this week – so this has been a fun project for him!

Jon says you can let them know – why the shoes are there – they help me.  “See, Sometimes I need another hand, And I can use the shoe to hold things for me.”

First Run was a bit small, then he added a ramp, a tunnel, and then 3 racing lanes.

Mom – Anything else you want to share Jon?

Jon – No.  Well, maybe that I got burned 2-3 times, or well, lets go with 500 times.

Mom – Any advice? On your Project?

Jon – It wasn’t hard, so much, it was hard making the stands for it. It is a very fun project, better than the computer and tv and ds and psp all day, and the game boy – all video games known to man.  It is easier with big popsicle sticks, its hard with the little ones. I’m runnin’ out of advice. . . . . . .
