The river got blocked by sand, so the lake was not draining – at last check this afternoon – the river is running, but the lake is still high.

Bring that together with 40-70 mpg wind gusts, 25-30 sustained, rain, hail, lightning, and a bit more wind – and you’ve got an amazing body of water in motion!!!

I have been working on a Waves informational homeschool blog entry, of all that we have learned scientifically about the water movement, but it keeps being too long – so for today, no explanation – but  a couple of fun videos instead of Devils Lake.
