Yaquina Head

Yaquina Head Lighthouse Field Trip Friday We drove into Yaquina Head to find another Quest today – Also – to take a couple of pictures for Field Trip Friday.

The pictures – and anything I could say – could not describe this area!

I look forward to many more visits – during the times that the lighthouse and interpretive center are open – to learn so much more about the birds and history of the area.  We didn’t get here until after 5 – tours of the light house stop at 4.

We did get to do one quest, take a great walk from the Interpretive Center to the Quarry, looked in some amazing tide pools, found Murre Eggs, Gull Eggs, and the tiniest Sea Star ever. :)  I could spend many more hours up here!  Good thing this area is about 20 miles  south of our home. 🙂

Since Homeschool Blog Hop is Theme Free – and since it’s summer.  . . . I’d like to combine two memes – and share the Field Trip Friday!  What have you done this week?

What a fun field trip! The tide pools sound amazing.

We’ve done nothing this week at our house but float around in the pool and try to stay out of the Arizona heat! 🙂

Hi Sue – Love your blog by the way – I see that you both used the words “sounds” amazing – they were supposed to pop up as a slide show – but I guess WordPress doesn’t play well with embedded slide show code. 🙂 I posted a link to the album. 🙂 Didn’t mean to tease with description and no photos. 🙂

  3. Your field trip sounds wonderful! I love lighthouses! The tide pools sound fascinating- I’d want to spend all my time there too!:)

I just realized today that the pictures of the trip did not post. I had them in as a slideshow, I guess WordPress didn’t like it. 🙂 Teaches me to “read” my own posts eh? I posted the pic as an album now. 🙂
