Flags Honoring the Veterans of Oregon

We took a sunset stroll on the beach and then walked up to the Chinook Winds Casino to see the Flags.

This was during the time that Darren and I were both in the Coast Guard.  He was stationed in Panama during these years, I was stationed in Seattle to fill a gap left by those who went overseas.

Emotion griped the heart a little. Seeing the flats without wind so close to the edge of the ocean. Still. The boys counted 1009 flags.
