Her Questions
| 1. What is your latest, greatest, favorite homeschooling tip or curriculum you’ve come across? Or would you share something that is really going well in your homeschool? | We recently switched to Mastery Math – going back to checking the foundations without the spiral of Saxon. We are using Mastering Math Essentials and Miquon Books with great results so far. |
| 2. What is your favorite fall recipe? | Today it is Chanterelle Mushrooms with Butter, Onions, Cream and a bit of Garlic. We have had them over burgers or noodles. So Yum. Other fall food is Pumpkin Ice Cream. Is that a recipe? Blackberry Cobbler! |
| 3. Besides morning quiet time, do you set aside a bit of time each day (or once a week) for a mom break? Time to recharge before facing the masses yet again? If so, how do you make it happen? | I work to have time for the kids to be on their own, I can drive to the beach, take a walk in the woods, walk to a friend’s home. I have a craft room that I can hide in. I like to Kayak and can go out on my own. I get over the guilt of trying to include the boys in everything and just do it. This Saturday a girlfriend and I went to a tea house for high tea. |
| 4. Do you have a rough schedule you keep when blogging? Or do you just write about what you feel led to that day? | I blog through my camera. I almost always have my little Nikon L22 around my neck, (tiny lil Nikon) As I download the photos, I share them here to share our lives, record our goings on, inspire others to lead a lifestye of learning. |
| 5. How many blogs do you read each week? What attracts you to certain blogs? | I have over a hundred in my reader. I go back and forth subscribing and unsubscribing. I like it when people are real, speak for their family, share their photos. I shy away from review only blogs, sell only blogs, and only teaching blogs. However, I have a few photo blogs, Lego Blogs, Science Blogs. I like to have left the blog being inspired to be a better woman, teacher, wife and friend. |
|
6. Where do you dream of traveling some day? Alone with your dh or with your children? |
I dream of an extended trip to the east coast, I’d love to do a government type tour of Boston, Philadelphia, Georgetown, etc. A Founding Father’s type of a tour. I dream of simple trips, to Nepal, India, etc with a back pack and a heart for God, to meet those struggling people who have a heart for God. Guatemala, Haiti, Africa, China. . . .Hmmm Looks like we’ll be traveling a lot in our future. 🙂 |
| 7. What is a personal goal you have made this year? | Be more involved in our new community. We took a year off after the move, time to connect more with people in the physical form. 🙂 |

Angie – so enjoyed your answers! Thanks for playing along.
You have me wanting a burger and blackberry cobbler very, very soon 🙂 I also blog through my camera – pulling in photos helps remind me what we’ve been up to!
We’ll have to make a point for our paths to cross on our traveling journeys in the future.
