The clouds were amazing! We talked about Peter Pan and Capt’ Hook’s ship – and the crazy desire to chart a course to float across the clouds.
If you look at the the header in the upper left corner, this is the green hill of the farthest cliff. Amazing.
The fog swirled around in a loop around the Cascade Head.
As fast as you could turn around, areas to view would open then close.
Yet, at the top of the head, it was warm and did not have a breeze.
Singing at the top. Praising God my Lungs didn’t collapse no doubt. 🙂 We are so thankful to have access to the Cascade Head Area we honored their paths;
Nate had to be silly with the sign for a moment after he saw that it was loose. 🙂 He put it back on the stick. :)

Sorrel Butterflies – Thanks Mindy for sneaking a photo of Nate and I!
Wishing right about now that I had the knees of my 12 yr old son. Owie.
This trail isn’t as brutal as the 4 mile walk up from the salmon river,
but it is still over a mile from the parking to the edge. Love It though.

That was absolutely breathtaking! I bet the pictures didn’t do it justice! I can’t hike due to back problems but ‘back in the day’ the boys and I sure did enjoy it. These pictures make me miss it so much. Beautiful!
