After hearing about the Salmon migrating into the D River last week, I took a tour of the south east side of the lake to see if any of the little streams would have fish.  I came across this White Egret.  Our Egrets and Herons on the North East side of the lake are MUCH more camera shy, and people shy. This little Egret didn’t seem to mind me at all. He’s pretty tiny in the body –smaller than ones in our yard. I am wondering if this is a juvenile first year.

He kept looking at the sign. . . . I think he was reading it. 🙂

He let me walk around with him for a bit and then flew off. I hope he went to tell his
family on the north side of the lake that it is fun to get your picture taken . . .
