Swag Bucks Joy to Sorry Notes

Nathan found a Vulcan N Strike Nerf Gun at the Goodwill this week. It can be found on Amazon from 40-250.00. You read that right. There are quite a few for $60.00. Even at the local Goodwill it was marked $19.00. Except, it didn’t have any bullets or a needed clip. Nate asked the clerk if they could mark it down, expecting the to say $15.00 – and to his joy, they went down to $7.00! Even without the clip, this is one massive piece of machinery – a Nerf Gun Wonder.  We got it home, cashed in some Swag Buck earned Amazon Gift Cards and today – the bullets came – free to us!

I have DSCN9313been in the newly re-claimed Lego Free zone now known as the “Classroom” or “Craftroom” or “Secret room to eat chocolate in while syncing the ITunes accounts between laptops rocking out to the Radio Stations” er Room – Pretending to enter  Slowly entering in their books that we have received from The Homeschool Crew this year into the Homeschool Tracker – sipping tea, when I was attacked by a Nerf Gun War gone Wild.

On a side note, I am working with Homeschool Tracker, HomeschoolSkedTrack (an online program) and This Old Schoolhouse Planner (a Printout) I think I’ll enter the books into tracker so I have them, then hand schedule on the Planner. SkedTrack was too hard for me to figure out, and I’m not sure I like it all on line. . . .

After the Nerf Attack – This is hat I got.

I entered in all of the books. We do not enter in everything every day – it is more of a do the next page sort of a system, however, I need a back up, for when I get sick, like the last few weeks – that they still have direction when I’m not leading. 🙂 I downloaded the daybook in the comment below and I’m surprised at how simple it is. The homeschoolskedtrack-ey thing was REALLY hard – and still all online. I’m trying to be more accountable for Nate – getting into a better routine with his higher learning. 🙂

If you’re curious about another homeschool record keeping package, you might check out our software Homeschool Day Book:

    http://www.homeschooldaybook.com/

It’s lightweight record keeping (many fewer features, but much easier to use than Homeschool Tracker) and specifically designed for less structured homeschoolers.

We’ve got a special running where you can get a free permanent license if you do a blog review, too. 🙂

Wow, that was a great find! My boys want the big ones, but I’m holding off until their summer birthday so they can play OUTIDE. What a sweet note. I save all of these. They are so precious.
