It was a glorious day at Regatta Park in Lincoln City to have The Last Easter Egg Hunt! After this year – both of my boys will be out of the egg hunt age. How did that happen?
That’s Jon in the light blue T-Shirt. Nate was in the forest finding a Newt. He’s getting good at spotting them this year.
Isn’t he too tiny to be at an Egg Hunt at the oldest end? After the egg hunt we went to purchase new tennis shoes – and he’s now in an adult size. How did this happen?
Big kids race up this hill. Its really steep.
Tiny through at 6 race up this hill. There were a ton of kids here this year. This is Devils Lake in the back – it is about 3 miles down the lake from our house. We live on that East Side over across the lake. This is the West Side here. See all of those beautiful untouched hills and forest? I love my life.
Trying not to choke up as he picks up eggs. He left the whirly gig so that the girl could have it. He only picked up about 6 eggs, trying not to choke up so I don’t get salty tears on my new camera.
We came home and helped dad get the Brisket on the smoker. We did a 24 hour smoke on it. It was pretty good! Most tender meat I have ever eaten!
We set the table in the morning before church – we had a few events to go to throughout the day – so we ended up having more of an open buffet line throughout the day.
All ready for church. Weird Jon. His new favorite is to cross his eyes in pictures.
We sliced off the Fat Layer from the brisket, leaving the yummy juicy meat.
Yum.
Yum.
Pa and Jon made a fire to burn some cattails in the evening.
I hope that you had a wonderful Easter Season – with time to prepare your heart – to specifically remember that Jesus did what He and Scripture said he would do –
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance:
that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day
according to the Scriptures. I Cor 15: 3-4
And by grace – you may accept his gift – and put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ. I pray that as you read my blog – that you will see a family who lives by faith for Christ.
This was such a fun post to read. Your table was so beautiful. I know what you mean about the kids growing up so quickly! I can’t believe my BABY is going to be SEVEN next month. How did that happen??
Thanks Phyllis. Ya, “they” all told me it would go so fast. I didn’t realize HOW fast! Jon and Nate set the table, Jon picked ALL of the flowers by the mail box. I am glad that they are lasting really well in the house. . . . .
