Jon came running in with excitement!

These are zoomed in photos – taken in the stream north of the house. 

Last year we remember that the ducklings liked to swim in the lily pads, and they are just now shooting out of the water. Last year was around May 5th for the first Goose spotting. No goslings yet, but Yes on Mallard Babies! (Goslings were spotted at the south end of the lake a week or two ago)

The boys were following behind, staring boldly at Jon’s exuberance.

The last batch of babies that we saw last year were hatched on my Birthday, June 10th.  Thus starts a wonderfully exciting month of greeting our newest Devils Lake Families!
