We have seen this quite a few times. We have learned that the Osprey only eats live fish for it’s diet. The Eagle, happy to not fish, waits for the Osprey, then grabs the trout out of his claws. This is over Devil’s Lake in early May. We have seen this also over the Siletz River. In this particular shot, Jon is driving the boat – and I am frantically trying to get my camera out of 3 waterproof bags while they dive, chase and circle all around us!

All I can say is W-O-W. I LOVE it. I have a favorite bird happening I am going to post too. I think that needs to be a new element of Tweet and See. I plan on posting on Tuesday, once we are back in town.
