Caution: Salmon on the Road

We received some new snazzy signs for our South side of East Devils Lake Road. The water covers the road, much more than in the photo below, and then the salmon use the whole road to cross and go up river. Who wants to go through a culvert when you can cross the whole expanse of road? Not these salmon. I wish I could have a photo of a salmon in the road, but we’ve never timed it right.

Did I mention we do not take one second for granted of where we live?

That is hilarious! My grandfather used to snag salmon in Colorado–one of the greatest joys of his life. Grandma canned it by the case and they always brought us a bunch when they would come to visit.

Found your blog via Sally Clarkson’s…I figured anyone who appreciated her post on treating our kids like we want to be treated would be worth reading! 🙂

I love to hear from my readers, I appreciate comments!
