As you can see, we are continuing to keep our Advent activities light this year. Is it ok that our Jesse Tree is a Lego Monkey Tree? (Thanks Friends Scott and Adam!) Or that we found the fir tree from Day 5 on the Lego Advent Calendar? You might notice that at least we make the boys light a candle before they can open the slot each day. Not our traditional advent wreath candle on the kitchen table, but – at least they are initiating the day!
This is the view out the window while we open the boxes:
Hard to get that Winter Christmas Feeling when it’s sunny and bright. This morning we woke to a thick layer of frost, it helps me get n the mood. The water is getting colder and thicker, the paddle pushes the water out of the way instead of easily slicing through it. Wetsuits are mandatory.
We made some sugar cookies, I mean to make a whole cookie post, but in case I don’t I’ll give a shout out to my friend Cherilyn who gave me the recipes and instructions!
We are joining my friends to be intentional each day of Advent, to know that He Came and that He Is Coming Again! http://daybydayinourworld.com/2011/11/40-days-of-seeking-him-advent-2011-week-one/
