The first day of spring on the Oregon Coast roared in with gusts of 60+mph winds and hail.
I had just read a post from Hodgepodge Mom about her Dogwood Pastels. She is usually a ahead of us in the garden, but I wanted to make sure since we had experienced a mild winter. After our beach walk we visited the Connie Hansen Gardens to see if the hail damaged the spring blooms and also to get a specimen for our Dogwood Paste instructions.
The flowers were beautiful – but negative on the Dogwoods yet. The Magnolia Tree was full of buds and a few flowers. Flowering trees should bloom soon!
Glad for an excuse to visit the garden, and usher in Spring officially!
