Homeschool Day for Dolphin Tale 2–Sept 12, 2014

Dolphin Tale 2 will be in theaters starting September 12, 2014. Homeschoolers had an impressive roll in sharing this movie and supporting it with groups in the theater.

Homeschool Day on Sept 12, 2014 would be a great time to plan a co-op field trip to watch the movie together! Some movie theaters give discounts with groups so be sure to call ahead.

Dolphin Tale 2 curriculum here!

I am just learning about a website that has FREE curriculum to go with movies. There is curriculum to go along with Dolphin Tale 2 here. A simple log on, and then find the movie, and start. The titles of each unit are on the left, a video and PDF link are on the right. I kept clicking on the titles and felt that I was in a loop, but I’m sure y’all are more savvy than me on that one. Sigh. These are written in Unit Study format. Each lesson covers a different part of academics – Math, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Geography, and of course – Science. It is laid out in a fun, simple, quick lesson format. Written by the folks who love dolphins and have also homeschooled 4 children, it also has the feel of the Charlotte Mason Living Book style of learning. If you are still planning on what to do this year – this might be a great free simple jumpstart to get your motor going!
