Nate did wonder what the eggs would taste like, but I assure you she was returned to her log unharmed post photo op. Nice little Crawdad mom with her eggs. 🙂
Update – November, 2010 – We have been finding quite a few large crawdads in the lakes around Lincoln City. The boys had a huge crawfish boil yesterday – they like to put celery, garlic and onions in the pot and boil til they are pink. I am excited for another season of crawdad trapping! Now you’ve got me longing for crawfish! They are a staple of the diet down in Louisiana and I have found memories of crawfish boils.
Good thing I like the halibut and salmon we can catch up here in Alaska, too :o)
