Wow!!! Way to go! Coincidentally, I just caught the previous posts to which you linked … so cool! 🙂
What is it like? Is it glass? Tell me more!
Lincoln City puts out these floats in rememberance of the Japanese Glass Floats that used to come to shore more frequently than now. They put out the number of the year – so this year 2011 floats were hidden from Oct 16th – May 31st. Here are a few other posts: https://pebblekeeper.wordpress.com/2010/02/13/finders-keepers-sea-the-forest/
Here is a pot of Jon finding a “Real” japanese float in a cave last year, along with quite a few plastic ones. We like the ones with the Japanese writing on them, on this day – we found over 50 – https://pebblekeeper.wordpress.com/2010/04/09/jon-finds-his-first-glass-float-in-a-cave/ (50 plastic – one glass)
Nate finding a “real” one – actually right where we were this morning – https://pebblekeeper.wordpress.com/2010/04/08/nate-finds-yet-another-glass-float-on-the-beach/
