Oliver Twist–The Charles Dickens Classic

One of my favorite childhood movies was Oliver Twist. I’d watch it every time I knew it to be on the Television. I think my mom had it recorded from PBS. Did you have a mom who over loved her VCR recording feature a bit much? Ha.

So when Tyndale offered the chance to review the audio drama , Oliver Twist , recorded on location in London with an award-winning cast – I was in!

As a gift item this season – for the person who has everything – this is it! The case is beautiful. Full color and would look beautiful on the bookshelf.

The Audio is of some of the highest quality I have ever heard.  This isn’t just one person reading the book – this is a full blown cast. The music, sound effects, and dramatic elements are perfectly timed and in perfect sound. You can hear and understand each character. As I was going about my day listening, we’d get to a favorite part and I’d walk over to the TV to see what was going on.  I listen to a lot of shows while washing the dishes and setting out projects – so it’s a habit of mine. I’d giggle when I remembered this was a CD and not the movie. The story draws you in, and is as enjoyable as I remember as a child. This will be a favorite of mine in our collection!

  1. I wanted to “like” this post but WordPress wouldn’t let me. SO…I’ll just like it here. What a fabulous item. I’m considering getting some audiobooks for our travels…although we are all hopelessly hooked on Adventures in Odyssey.

I love to hear from my readers, I appreciate comments!
