Even though it was blowing something like 20 mph, we had to hit the beach for a bit to tryout the new skim board. Nate found one from an older surfer (1960’s Santa Cruz Native).
The idea is that you wait for just the right amount of water, run, jump, and ride.
I said the word WET SUIT 146 times. They were brave. They were strong. They were freezing and numb from the waist down.
I get to watch birds surf and boys be silly.
hmmm. If I swim to this side, and throw the board to the east, I can slide down the sand slope into this pool of water.
That happened about 3 times, and then they were ready to go home.
I brought along my book for the hour we were there.
In between watching amazingly beautiful sea green waves.
