I am excited to share The Old Schoolhouse Expo with you! I attended the Expo a couple of summers ago.

First, I must share that (whispered- I’ve never been to a homeschool convention). Who. That feels better. We live in the Pacific Northwest – and the timing has over lapped other activities. We’ve felt pretty secure in our homeschool path – and have just never made it a priority. Who needs it right? Well….

I logged on to the Expo 2 years ago – and just thought I’d hang out with my homeschool friends on line – so we would all be on the same page. I found myself grabbing my notebook, pencil, sharpies, extra mug of coffee and headphones.

As I listened to each speaker – it felt as if they were in my living room, talking straight to me – to my needs. Reassuring, instructing, admonishing, exhorting. Many of the names listed below have been on my radar as homeschool mentors for years through their books and websites. Hearing their voices, seeing what they had to offer us for encouragement – was amazing. I am glad I carved out the time with my laptop, cozy chair and head phones for sure.
