We drove up to Pacific City in hopes of cheating the North Wind this morning. No go. West wind, rain and super small swell.  So we sat in our car, right about at this spot, and pulled out the Math U See Zeta book along with Moving Beyond the Page Science and Literature.

In Literature we are reading The Tree that Time Built. Our favorite poem today was All Day Long, by David McCord

Beneath the pine tree where I sat
to hear what I was looking at,

then by the sounding shore to find
some things the tide had left behind,

I thought about the hilltop blown
upon by all the winds I’ve known.

Why ask for any better song
in all the wide world all day long?

Sigh. Amazing day at the beach, enjoying the freedom of homeschooling.

(It was raining, so no photos today, these were taken in Pacific City over the last year. These sites can be seen from our car where we were parked.)
