Such a joy to watch the little babies grow up.
We’ve seen several batches be born this week!
With warmer mornings, I’ve been enjoying having my coffee outside, with my Bible, Radio Program, Pens, and Coffee – and my Camera.
I love our new little goldie and white mallards!
I’ve set morning goals – Rise, set the kitchen and laundry straight while I boil water for coffee, then time in the Word, and time exercising. There really isn’t any excuses with the early warmer mornings. The view – and my ‘gym’ – pulls me out of the covers.
On this particular morning – all set up with Alistair Begg on Truth for Life, my Bible open, Journal ready, Coffee hot, Pens on the ready –
This prayer slipped out of my Bible.
I’ve read it often enough – but this morning it really hit home:
My Prayer – by Ruth Acord.
After reading it a couple of times, I felt led to write it out, and challenge myself to read it each morning – until the phrases become memorized, and habitual.
God, in the quiet of this morning hour
I come to thee for peace, for wisdom, power
To view the world through love-filled eyes;
be patient understanding, gentle, wise:
To see beyond what seems to be, and know
They children as Thou knowest them; and so
Naught but the good in anyone behold.
Make my ears deaf to slander that is told;
Silence my tongue to aught that is unkind —
Let only thoughts that Bless dwell in my mind.
Let me so kindly be, so full of cheer
That all I meet may feel thy presence near.
Oh, clothe me in Thy beauty, this I pray;
Let me reveal Thee, Lord, Though all the day. Ruth Acord
I can tell you, this amazing woman – Lived This Prayer.
What would the world look like if we all did?
