Today’s Seatwork has Been Interrupted!

Those boys will do anything to get out of Decimals and Geometric Shapes! Jon’s friend’s Dad texted me at 5 in the morning – a friend of his is moving out of town in a week and selling his 12 foot aluminum boat dirt cheap.  It was on the north side of the lake a couple of miles down – so all we hubby had to do was drive over, drop it in the water, hook up our marine battery – and Fish all the way home.

Before today, Jon had never caught a fish on Devils Lake. Nate and Darren had – Jon is an expert at the bull fish and baby bass that live under the dock –but never a large edible fish.

The previous owner put plugs in the back, so it can sit on the boat ramp and be ready at a moments notice!

The BBQ is going full throttle, we have some Eddy’s Texas Sausage on the grill and the boys are getting the trout ready to grill!

You cook em you clean em. Smile THIS is why I love being an Unschooler. We had two different people ask us how we could do this today. On a Tuesday.  No guilt or sadness that we didn’t do decimals, geometry, geography or writing today.  We got Tangled from Netflix in the mail, so I think Dad’s Day Off will continue.
