We had a break between the big storms on Weds, so Jon went out to check his Crawdad Traps. Using my Canoe like a Paddleboard he looks kinda funny out there. Singing a loud song, just like his mama. The above is my view from the kitchen window while making Cornbread Stuffing and Green Bean Casserole.
He brings in his catch and takes up valuable real estate on the electric stove, creating a great crawfish boil for his little snack. He eats the WHOLE thing. barely spits out the bones. Weird kid.
Problem is, on Thursday another wind storm hit, flipped the canoe over a couple of times, it was by the
sandbox kiddie pool to the left, and flipped into the daisies.
Wearing my flashy post pie flannel pj bottoms hiked up to the knee, I get all geared up to move the canoe while my dining friend Ms. Randy clicks photos from the deck.
I put the canoe in the time out zone next to Jon’s surf boards.
What you can’t hear is the howl 40+ MPH winds, nor hear the splash of the lake waves into the newly created kiddie pool.
Did I mention that living in the Pacific Northwest is an adventure in the winter?
Sure Is. I love my life!
