Spring Beach Discoveries

After the storms. In the middle of storms? We walk the beaches and see the vast changes.

I spotted this large rock yesterday, the top is about waist high. It is green, and the rock is soft feeling.

It is lodged into the root system of the tree. There are other pieces of rock up in there as well. Did it grow on a rocky cliff and grow around these? Did it rip from the cliff as it hurled out to ta river or sea?

I wonder what sort of rock this is, and what sort of tree this is . . .

And I spot a log that had caught fire, lots of old burn areas. Tiny teen tiny insy winsy fluted plants are growing.

Just a quick little view of our walk. If you have answers – share!
