We had a few errands to run down the coast line
and decided to play tourist while we were out and about.
I’d like to visit this Whale Museum soon. We’ve taken Carrie’s Whale Watching Tour – she is fantastic with the whales and knows them by name.
Jon forgot to do his pushups this morning.
He remembered while we were on the bridge. So . . . .
Time to watch the birds, seals and Boats at this tiny tiny port. (State Whale Center there in that building. The boys Begged me not to make them go in again today. Since we were tourists and not intentional learners, I said OK. No Whales)
We didn’t know you could walk under the bridge to get to the other side of the street. Awesomeness!
We love watching the Taffy Puller!
Rock Ball Machine? Yep. If you are on the Oregon Coast and you expect Agates!
I LOVE collecting pressed pennies.
Our favorite candy store – Ainsley’s and our new favorite tourist do dad shop – Seaview.
We sold an Android Phone and went to Newport . . . .
Mmmmm. Ainsley’s opened a store in Newport – We love the popcorn.
Crab Docks. Like the grooves from the ropes?
Paintings everywhere.
Sigh. Not enough swell down there.
Nate can Text and Skate. Or, I mean longboard.
Jon says he feels like a bird. I think it makes him feel better on North Wind Flat Water non surfing days.
Yep. It’s July 19th – summer – On the Oregon Coast all right. Pull that hoodie up!
Nye Beach – Newport
We went into an art store – and I REALLY enjoyed listening to the boys’ conversations.
Nate’s favorite piece, the sphere.
One of my favorites:
Jon’s favorite – this is several layers deep:
I think I could write about 6 posts about the interesting people that we talked to today.
Jon ran our pads to this gal. New car.
She used her wetsuit and towels to create a barrier for the foamie boards.
The wetsuit slipped out on this hill.
We found the towel but not the wetsuit. Poor Gal.
Back home in Lincoln City – These were culled from 121 photos taken today – just a basic visual tour. I might try a post to say where we went and what we did – You’d never believe our day in words!
Come visit us – we love playing tourist!
How fun! Loved seeing the day in pictures. I feel like I was able to play tourist with you instead of work all day!!
